In recent years, ceramic membranes have been replacing their polymeric counterparts, sand filters and other separation technologies in many applications. At CoMeTas, we develop and manufacture cutting-edge ceramic membrane elements for micro- and ultrafiltration of liquids.
CoMeTas ceramic membranes are especially characterized by:
- Highest flux
- Total chemical resistance
- High temperature resistance
- Material of 100 % silicon carbide

We outperform each of our competing technologies with our expertise in membrane development and on the basis of the excellence of silicon carbide. The membrane substrates as well as the coatings are made of silicon carbide. Silicon carbide has a high hydrophilicity and therefore offers great benefits in terms of flux. Our unique coating technique enables pore sizes ranging from ultra filtration to micro filtration, customized to the specific application. We offer cost-effective solutions, with great advantages in flux, durability, particle removal and chemical as well as thermal resistance.
We have developed three outstanding ceramic membrane products:
Aqua Solution integrates a dead-end structural design with our cutting-edge material for applications with lower amounts of suspended solids.
CoMem utilizes a cross-flow design to handle higher amounts of suspended solids.
CoMem Conduits is the newest version of our CoMem filters. This filter has conduits cut into the membrane element, which in turn gives us a higher flux. The higher flux is achieved by shortening the distance the permeate has to travel to get through the membrane.
