CoMem Conduits is a newer version of CoMem with a higher flux.
The membrane area is reduced a bit due to the conduits, but the effective membrane area is increased, i.e. the membrane element has a higher performance.
Advantages:
- MUCH more efficient: up to 3 times more water flux on a ΓΈ144 x 865 membrane element
- Less cross flow required to achieve same cross flow velocity
- Reinforced edges will avoid damages, enhance the strength and ease sealing of the element.
- The fact that all channels have the same distance to the permeate side will mean that the conditions for each channel during filtration will be the same.
- The backflush will be very efficient, as the entire membrane surface will experience the same negative trans membrane pressure
